I am blessed with five beautiful grandchildren, Ty who is four, Mia who is two and Hunter, Eva & Mason, (photo on the right) all born the last half of 2011. Yes, being a grandparent is one of the greatest feelings in the world.
I was born in Key West and have lived here all my life except for briefly studying and then working in the broadcasting industry in Ft. Lauderdale. When I came back to Key West I got married, raised three beautiful children (photo, top left) who are all grown now and worked in a family business for nearly 20 years before retiring and venturing into Real Estate. In addition to the family business and real estate I have also been an independent videographer since 1985. I have videotaped everything from weddings to news to legal video services. In May, 2009 I videotaped the sinking of the Vandenberg to be used as an artificial reef 7 miles south of Key West (photo on right). Here's the YouTube link: Sinking of the Vandenburg
Shortly after becoming a REALTOR in 1998 I became a board member of the Key West Association of REALTORS. I first served as Program Chair where my duty was to schedule speakers for our monthly General Membership Luncheons. After doing that for two years I was elected President-Elect for 2003 then President for both 2004 and 2005. In 2006 I served as Immediate Past-President and in 2008 and again for 2012 I am back on the board as Technology Director.
My favorite hobby and passion is running. I've run four marathons and of course numerous shorter races. My goal is to someday run the Boston Marathon which requires I run a prior qualifying race within a certain time period based on my age. Being an average speed runner I've yet to reach that time requirement but ironically age is on my side. The older I get the more time I'm allowed to finish. Wish me luck. Recently I've gotten into triathlon training which I absolutely love.
